Campaign Story

When Melissa and I decided to start a family, we knew that it would be an adventure.

We have gone through lots of testing up to this point and have been given diagnoses. I have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), and Endometriosis, along with some others.

After many tests we are finally working with an amazing fertility clinic! The staff has helped us more during the short amount of time than any of the past doctors have ever done combined in over 15 years. We are extremely lucky to have these individuals in our life!

Kaylin has been taking fertility medication and we are hoping that we will be successful. Our fertility specialist is going to try Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) starting this cycle. Our fertility specialist will only be trying this three times. If after three cycles, we are unsuccessful we will be moving onto IVF.

We are currently at the point in our journey that it is time to purchase sperm which costs anywhere from $600- $1,300 for one vial. Our specialist has instructed that we will need multiple vials during this process. The medications they have started Kaylin on are not covered by insurance and will be almost $200 per cycle.

We are both so grateful for everyone’s support. The comments, messages, thoughts, and prayers have not gone unheard. This whole experience has been physically, emotionally, and financially draining. I do not know how we could continue moving forward without all of your support. We have spent at least $4,000 just to get to this point in our journey. It is a bit scary to think that we could need multiple treatments and possibly move to IVF if this does not work. We are remaining positive and hopeful thanks to all of you!
